While we recognize the intent behind SB 30 and HB 4806 to streamline commerce and lower costs for consumers, we are deeply concerned that, as currently written, the bill would limit the ability of Texans to seek just compensation when injured by foreign companies and foreign workers. Currently, Texas has many foreign truck drivers operating 18-wheelers on our roads, including a driver who killed five Texans in Austin this March. We also have foreign corporations operating in our state. Texans for Strong Borders calls on state lawmakers to amend these bills to ensure American citizens harmed by foreign companies are never denied access to justice. Our legal system should never favor foreign interests over those of our own citizens.
Our state should not become a legal gray area where foreign companies and contractors are shielded from accountability, while Texas families are left to bear the cost—physically, financially and emotionally — of someone else’s negligence.
We urge the Texas Legislature to fix SB 30 and HB 4806 by including clear provisions that preserve the rights of injured Texans to pursue full and fair legal recourse from foreign nationals and foreign companies who harm them. Texans for Strong Borders will always fight for policies that protect American citizens over foreign interests.
Please maintain our borders from illegals coming into our country I’m all for that.

I don’t think foreigner should get any more advantages when it comes to American citizens. That shouldn’t be.
Do the right thing
PLEASE DO something about it.
Please e sure that people such as those of us from El Paso are safe from all who traverse the border with criminal history and intent.

We need string borders. Other countries have them and enforce them. Why should we not?
Why would we protect foreign companies and individuals of those companies from legal actions of those they harm? Come on Texas house, do your jobs and protect those that put you there and not those padding your pockets! You can be replaced!
American citizens must be protected against harm from any foreign entities. This is a must and you need to make it happen. We put you in office to protect our rights. Do the job you were hired to do!
