OVERHAUL THE TEXAS BORDER MISSION

Under the Biden administration, Texas saw over 5 million illegal border crossings and was unable to significantly reduce border incursions until the fourth year of the crisis. It is imperative that we prepare our state to respond more effectively to future border surges.

At a minimum, Texas must create a state Border Protection Unit that is not subject to nationalization by a future administration that is hostile to immigration enforcement and a Special Missions Unit capable of breaking apart cartel operations across our state.

PROTECT AMERICAN WORKERS

The American Dream is on the verge of collapse, in large part due to stagnant wage growth due to Big Business’ addiction to cheap foreign labor. We must reverse this trend.

The Texas legislature must pass a Universal E-Verify law to prevent illegal aliens from obtaining employment within our state. It should also reform state grant and tax abatement programs to ensure that these dollars go to companies who hire American citizens.

The federal government must end the H-1B visa program and the OPT program that disproportionately displace highly-skilled American workers and shrink wages in our most critical industries.

END TAXPAYER-FUNDED SERVICES & SUBSIDIES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS

Every year, illegal aliens residing in our state take billions of dollars in taxpayer-funded subsidies and services, including education and health care.

These services are part of what makes Texas attractive to illegal aliens, and serve as part of the incentive structure driving illegal immigration into our state. The Texas Legislature must eliminate these taxpayer-funded incentives at the state, county, and municipal levels.

END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP ABUSE

For too long, foreign visitors have taken advantage of a key misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause that has granted automatic birthright citizenship to the children of illegal aliens, tourists, and temporary visa holders.

The authors of the 14th Amendment never intended for this clause to be used in such a way, and significant legal challenges and legislative action should be used to restore this clause to its original meaning.

BOLSTER INTERIOR IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT

A mass invasion necessitates mass deportations. For decades, tens of millions of illegal aliens (many with final orders of removal from immigration courts) have lived in our country brazenly violating our immigration and employment laws.

The federal government must undo the neglect of previous decades by accelerating worksite enforcement raids and other deportation efforts while resisting any calls for amnesty of illegal aliens who have taken advantage of our inaction. The Texas legislature must expand our state’s requirements for state and local law enforcement participation in the ICE 287(g) program to aid these efforts and secure our communities.
