Deportation Expert Mike Howell Calls Out Democrats’ Dangerous Deportation Rhetoric

Mike Howell, President of the Oversight Project, testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on July 16, 2025. As a Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and Board Member at the National Immigration Center for Enforcement, Howell is extremely knowledgeable about the crisis created by open border policies and the violent reactions of the opponents of immigration enforcement.

Howell began his testimony by pleading with members of the body on the Democrat side to stand down on their threats against men and women in Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He stated that the attacks on ICE are being driven by the “demagoguery of politicians.” Howell also accused Democrat members of trying to grab the attention of the press by telling Axios that “there needs to be blood,” that civility isn’t working, and that citizens should “prepare for violence.”

Howell went on to explain in detail that the invasion at the Southern border was highly orchestrated and well-funded. The government partnered with what Howell referred to as “open borders organizations” to not only usher in millions of illegal aliens but also to assist them with resources, medical care, rides, etc., once they arrived in the US.

According to Howell, these organizations were rewarded by the Biden Administration, which drove an estimated $6 billion (calculated by the Center for Immigration Studies) to a conglomerate of 15 UN agencies and 230 NGOs. The Border Patrol basically became a welcome center, a day care, and glorified Uber drivers who ferried illegal aliens to open borders organizations. These open borders organizations facilitated the mass migration of illegal aliens throughout the interior of the United States.
