This past week, left-wing anti-ICE violence was on full display in Minneapolis, and it should serve as a warning to every American.

During an anti-ICE protest outside a federal facility, Savanah Hernandez, a TPUSA journalist covering the demonstration, was surrounded, harassed, and assaulted by members of the crowd. As she attempted to leave, she was punched, shoved into a fence, and tackled to the ground by multiple individuals. Authorities have since confirmed arrests connected to the incident, and a federal investigation is underway.

But the broader issue goes far beyond a single assault. One of the protestors screaming at Hernandez before she was hit has been identified as William Kelly, who was previously arrested for his role in the Minnesota church storming back in January. It is clear that in Minneapolis and other U.S. cities, organized left-wing violence is tolerated and often even sanctioned by local authorities.

This is the expected result of years of rhetoric from the open-borders Left, which has worked tirelessly to demonize ICE agents, undermine immigration enforcement, and portray the rule of law as something oppressive rather than essential.

When you tell people that enforcing immigration law is “violence,” it should not surprise anyone when actual violence follows.

What we are seeing now is escalation.

It is no longer just ICE officers being targeted. It is anyone who dares to report on, support, or even question the anti-ICE movement.

Minnesota has become a flashpoint for this kind of extremism, but if you’ve paid attention to our previous updates, then you know it has also become far too common here in Texas. The same ideology fueling these attacks is being pushed in cities and communities across the country.

Texans for Strong Borders stands unequivocally with ICE and all federal agents carrying out immigration enforcement operations. We encourage the administration to remain resolute in the face of intimidation and to continue expanding efforts to restore law and order.

Because if violent mobs are allowed to dictate immigration policy, then we are no longer a nation governed by laws. We are a nation governed by chaos.

And that is something Texans can never accept.
