On Tuesday, Donald Trump won the 2024 Presidential Election, securing 312 Electoral Votes, winning the popular vote, and sweeping all seven swing states.
With it, President Trump has a popular mandate to secure our border and reverse the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, which have led to up to 20 million illegal and inadmissible aliens entering our nation since January 2021.

In Texas, Republicans had extremely strong turnout which led to decisive victories in the state for both President Trump and Senator Ted Cruz.
What some might not know is that Texas Republicans also picked up two Texas House seats and a major flip of a Texas Senate seat.
Don McLaughlin (HD 80) and Denise Villalobos (HD 34) won open seats in two districts that had been controlled by Democrats for decades. In SD 27 Adam Hinojosa flipped a seat for Republicans after defeating Democrat Morgan LaMantia.
These elections have major implications for passing our legislative priorities in the Texas legislature during the upcoming 89th Session. In the House, it increases the chances for a new Speaker candidate who will prioritize passing key Republican legislative priorities early in the session. In the Senate, it adds another vote to the Republican majority, which will make it easier for strong border security policy to overcome the objections of more liberal Republicans who were not up for re-election this cycle.
