Chinese Anchor Babies Attempt Bombing of US Air Force Base

While the Supreme Court debates the merits of birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens, the consequences are being felt. Birthright citizenship allows migrants to enter the United States illegally or on a temporary visa, have children inside the country, and get citizenship for their children automatically. Then, they can use the children’s citizenship to later acquire a visa and then citizenship for themselves.

The obvious flaw in the law here is that this allows anyone who can physically get into the US to game the system, gaining citizenship for themselves and their families. But anchor babies also carry a more substantial danger than simply taking Americans’ jobs or increasing crime in the country. The legality of anchor babies endangers the United States’ national security, as evidenced by the case of Alen Zheng.

Zheng was charged with attempting to bomb the MacDill Air Force base. He allegedly built an IED using cherry Pepsi bottles and brought it onto the base in his car. The device did not successfully detonate, and he then fled to China. His sister Ann Zheng was caught and charged with aiding his escape.

Here’s where it gets interesting: Zheng and his sister both have US citizenship despite both their parents being illegal aliens. Their parents were arrested by ICE following the failed bombing attempt.

The terrorist who tried to bomb a US airbase, and his sister, who helped him flee the country, are anchor babies.

Whether this was a lone wolf attack or an intelligence operation run by the Chinese government remains unclear, but it has exposed a gigantic weakness in the US that China and any other hostile nation could exploit.

It’s time to end birthright citizenship. The Supreme Court has a duty to protect America from illegal aliens and the national security threat they present. There is no reasonable interpretation of the Constitution that justifies allowing anyone who can reach American soil, including our adversaries, to gain automatic citizenship for their children.
