The left’s war on immigration enforcement is not only fought by antifa rioters on the streets, but also by politicians in suits. Their objectives, however, are the same: bring as many illegal aliens into the United States as possible and enable them to commit as many crimes as they want.
This goal was highlighted by the case of Maryland illegal alien Filberto Gonzalez Gutierrez, a monstrous killer who slit his wife’s neck with a box cutter. He was thankfully arrested by ICE and is now awaiting justice.
However, this Tuesday, Maryland Governor Wes Moore signed a law that would have allowed him to go free had it been passed earlier. The bill banned all cooperation between state or local officials and ICE on what is known as the 287(g) program.
The governor claims it does not prevent criminals from being deported, but it in effect prevents law enforcement from doing the work necessary to get criminals like Gutierrez deported. Leftists are using any loophole or obfuscated policy they can to sabotage deportations and aid violent migrants.
Texans for Strong Borders does not want to see our fellow Texans have their throats slit by foreign invaders. That’s why we support ICE and the 287(g) program, which keeps our citizens safe.
