Antifa Terrorists Convicted of Shooting ICE Detention Facility

Nine members of Antifa, the far-Left militant group, have been charged and convicted for their July 2025 attack on an ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas.

The Antifa cell assaulted the Prairieland ICE Detention Center, shooting one police officer in the neck. The group, armed with firearms, body armor, and medical kits, also shot fireworks at the facility and vandalized vehicles. The officer survived, and the nine attackers were captured and charged, with seven other antifa members pleading guilty to providing material support to terrorists.

The alleged leader of the cell, Benjamin Song, was convicted of attempted murder of U.S. Officers and discharging a firearm during, in relation to, and in furtherance of a crime of violence. All but one of the nine attackers were convicted of riot with intent to commit an act of violence.

Every defendant is facing prison time, ranging from a minimum of ten years to a maximum of life sentences. Sentencing will be carried out by the U.S. District judge who oversaw the trial.

President Trump officially designated antifa as a national domestic terrorist organization following this attack, so it was likely the trigger that led to the President taking action. Violent attacks on ICE specifically have become all too common as the left tries to enforce their open borders ideology through the barrel of a gun.

This wasn’t just an attack on one detention center — it was an assault on the very fabric of democracy. Americans deserve to be able to vote for candidates like President Trump and for policies like securing the border without fear that some psychopathic leftist will shoot them for that view. These convictions rightfully bring justice and deterrence against such attacks.
