According to congressional testimony by our friend and Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd, under the Biden administration, ICE and Border Patrol were turned into babysitters for illegal aliens instead of border enforcers. Many border patrol agents faced consequences for not processing illegal aliens into the U.S. in the desired time frame.
During this time, the slave trade boomed more than the drug trade. People were brought to the U.S. and enslaved by the cartels. Millions of people are working on farms, in hotels, or unloading trucks filled with drugs.
According to Sheriff Boyd, the open border policy was not an immigration issue; it was a slave trade issue. Because the United States had ceded its authority over its borders to the cartels, they were able to import millions of people, who are still trying to pay off debts as indentured servants.
Under the Trump administration, border encounters have reached their lowest in recorded history. Texans for Strong Borders is thankful that the Trump Administration is putting Texas first and is reclaiming control over our borders. This will end the reign of the cartels and prevent the slave trade from happening within the borders of the land of the free.
Now we are faced with the difficult task of undoing the damage of the last administration and sending millions of illegal aliens back home. The border is secure, but we have much more work to do.
