Cartel Warfare Erupts in Mexico

Earlier this week, Mexico was rocked by a wave of violent attacks across the country perpetrated by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The attacks were ignited by the Mexican government, killing the cartel’s notorious leader, El Mencho

The fighting has so far killed at least several dozen Mexican soldiers and cartel fighters. Most of the attacks were centered in the Mexican city of Puerto Vallarta, where the cartel killed law enforcement, burned buildings and vehicles, shut down the airport and transportation, and threatened to go door-to-door killing people.

Civilians and tourists were trapped with no choice but to hide and wait for the Mexican military to save them. Since then, the government has engaged the cartel enough so that things have quieted down, but many people on both sides are dead, and danger remains throughout the country.

This senseless violence stands as a reminder of why we fight for strong borders. The cartel threat dominates Mexico and Latin America and is always pushing to add the United States to its territory. Biden’s open border let the cartels not only rake in huge profits from charging tolls on migrants coming into the USA, but also allowed them to send hitmen, drug dealers, and any other personnel they desired into America.

ICE, Border Patrol, and other law enforcement agencies are the only groups standing between American citizens and bloodthirsty cartel barbarians. If we as a country ever lose sight of that and allow open borders globalists to enshrine their agenda into law, the carnage taking place in Mexico will afflict us in the USA. Our future depends on our border security and military strength.
