29-year-old musical artist Zach Bryan has burst onto America’s country music scene over the past several years. In the latest snippet of an unreleased single, he had some harsh words for DHS and ICE.
In the sample of his new song “Bad News,” Bryan sings about ICE “busting down your house” and “the fading of the red, white, and blue.” Despite his 8 years of service in the United States Navy, it seems that Zach Bryan misunderstands the true source of America’s strength, which isn’t found in catchy lyrics or Hollywood glamour. It’s found in law and order.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was right to call Bryan’s lyrics “completely disrespectful” to law enforcement and to the country itself. ICE officers put their lives on the line every day—tracking violent criminals, disrupting human trafficking operations, and deporting illegal aliens who have no right to remain in the United States. Mocking their sacrifice may earn applause from the radical Left, but it’s a slap in the face to the countless agents who keep America safe.
While celebrities like Bryan cash in on cultural chaos, ICE agents are out in the field doing real work—enforcing the law and defending the border that keeps America safe.
Texans for Strong Borders proudly stands with Secretary Noem and the heroes of ICE. These men and women are not the villains in America’s story. They are the guardians of our national sovereignty. And no amount of anti-law-enforcement propaganda from celebrities will change that.
It’s time to start showing respect for those who protect us and to remind the cultural elite that there are real, hard-working men and women putting their lives on the line every day to defend our borders.
