When Texas troops answer the call to defend America, the Left calls it an “invasion.”
This week, 500 National Guard members — including 200 from Texas — arrived in the Chicago area to protect federal personnel and facilities after escalating threats against ICE and Homeland Security operations. But instead of gratitude, they were met with outrage.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker denounced the deployment as “Trump’s invasion” and vowed to fight it in court. Chicago’s radical mayor piled on, accusing President Trump of “authoritarianism” for daring to send help.
Let’s be clear: these troops are there to defend federal agents who enforce our immigration laws, not to “invade” anyone. The only invasion happening is at our southern border — one that Gov. Pritzker and his Democrat allies refuse to acknowledge, let alone stop.
The hypocrisy is staggering. These same officials turned their cities into so-called “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens — but now cry foul when the federal government steps in to restore order and enforce the law.
Texans for Strong Borders stands firmly behind our Texas National Guard troops and their mission to secure our nation. Whether on the Rio Grande or in Chicago, Texans are leading where weak politicians refuse to act.
We urge the Trump administration to stay the course and ensure that anyone who commits organized violence against federal law enforcement is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Attacking law enforcement officers with vehicles is terrorism: that shouldn’t even be up for debate.
Governor Pritzker can hurl all the insults he wants, but Texans will not apologize for defending our country and our sovereignty.
