The US Forest Service, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted a large operation across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Operation “Southern Forest Trident” swept through national forests, ending with the arrest of 25 illegal aliens, at least one of whom was a confirmed cartel member

The operation utilized checkpoints, concentrated patrols, and manhunts in order to apprehend suspects. Of the 25 illegals arrested, 14 had prior felony convictions. Authorities made multiple drug-related arrests, discovering methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, oxycodone, and drug paraphernalia.

Stephens County Sheriff Rusty Fulbright noted that these wooded areas are rarely patrolled, making them a strategic place for criminals to use as hideouts. Law enforcement called the operation a success, but this raid should serve as a loud warning to every American.

America’s national forests and parks are supposed to be safe refuges for families, hunters, and tourists, not cartel drug bases. The years of unchecked immigrant invasion America suffered are putting innocent American lives at risk and handing more power to vicious Mexican drug cartels operating inside our country.

Even though these 25 illegal aliens have been neutralized, more criminal invaders are already embedded across Texas and the nation, ready to seize control of additional under-patrolled forests, rural communities, and remote areas.

This is the direct result of Washington’s refusal to secure our southern border. By allowing millions of cartel-linked fighters, drug traffickers, and other dangerous offenders to flood into our country unchecked, federal inaction has turned American soil into a staging ground for chaos and crime.

The only real solution is the Strong Borders priority of mass deportations. We must find, arrest, and remove the drug traffickers, gang members, and cartel operatives who have invaded our country. Half-measures and catch-and-release will never be enough.

Texans for Strong Borders demands full-scale interior enforcement and the largest deportation operation in American history to rid our lands of these cartels and criminal aliens. Our national forests and our communities must be reclaimed for law-abiding American citizens.
